/ SITE-SPECIFIC
Over several years, Assen Janev realized site-specific installations in the public spaces of various European cities. His works examined the interactions between built structures, social environments and perception. The interventions responded to existing contexts and integrated themselves as temporary layers into the urban space. This created new visual and conceptual connections that referred to change, memory and identity. The city became a stage for precise, often quiet observation of everyday life and its traces.
